While talking to Hindu brothers about theology

While talking to Hindu brothers about theology in Hinduism, always remember the following points:

1. Vedas do not teach any monotheism or belief in one God. Vedas only teach polytheism and worship of natural powers like Agni, Indra, Varuna, Aditya. We disagree with Dr. Naik that Vedas teach the concept of one God. To know about the polytheistic concept of gods in Vedas, read our article islamhinduism.com/hinduism/analysis/92-on-vedic-deities
Given this, move on to show the superiority of the Islamic monotheism to Vedic polytheism.

2. Never assume that all Hindus have the same concept of God. Hindus have a variety of beliefs about God/gods and many times these are mutually contradictory. For example, if you will try to convince and Arya Samaji about the oneness of God, it is futile because they already believe in that doctrine. So, do not waste your time. Always try to find out which sect of Hinduism does the opponent belong to before starting any discussion.

3. Do not delve into Hindu scriptures if you have not read them yourself. This is a dangerous approach which can boomerang. Hindu scriptures are not like Muslim scriptures. They do not have the same level of authenticity as our scriptures. They are open to multiple interpretations because they are incoherent and jumbled books. This is true especially of the Veda samhitas and associated Brahmanas. So, only an expert can interpret them.

4. If you have any problems while discussing, do not feel distressed. We are always here to help and support. Just send us a message whenever you need help of email us at info@islamhinduism.com
